Physicians in the Division of Rheumatology provide diagnosis
and management of patients with arthritis or any other rheumatic or autoimmune
disorder. Outpatient rheumatology clinics offer evaluation of new patients
and follow-up treatment of patients with established disease. Faculty
members also provide consultation for inpatients with primary rheumatic
disease and also for patients with rheumatologic manifestations of other
systemic disorders.

- Joint aspiration and synovial fluid analysis
- State-of-the-art laboratory, medical imaging, and
rehabilitation services

- Administration of biologic response modifier agents
(e.g., TNF antibody)
The Division welcomes the opportunity to co-manage the
therapy of autoimmune diseases of other organ systems with the corresponding
subspecialists, e.g., uveitis (ophthalmology), polychondritis (otolaryngology),
etc.† We would undertake such co-management with the expectation of close
ongoing communication between rheumatology and the referring subspecialist.
