Research Interests

Diagnostic microbiology is a rapidly changing field encompassing new technologies within molecular biology and bioinformatics which converge to create novel opportunities for translational research and the provision of improved health care. Our laboratory actively conducts and participates in clinical trials involving state of the art molecular diagnostic platforms as well as examining and describing mechanistic approaches related
to antimicrobial resistance to facilitate targeted treatment options, with a focus on fluoroquinolones.
