Surgical Pathology Services

Clinical Specimens
Specimens are to be delivered to the Purple Building, Level 2 (formerly 2 North) Surgical Pathology Department or Clinical Laboratory at any time or day.

Over 7500 routine surgical specimens are processed yearly. In addition; bone marrow biopsies, medical examiner cases, autopsy cases, and research specimens are cut, blocked, and stained. A variety of special stains, immunohistochemistry stains, and immunofluorescence stains are available.
