 The
Surgical Pathology Department at HCMC provides complete on-site services
for all surgical pathology needs including:
- Routine specimen processing and evaluation
- Research specimen processing
and evaluation
- Gross and microscopic photography
- Review of material from outside institutions for
referred patients
- Interdepartmental conference support
- Review of cases with individual physicians or house
staff
Transport media and free courier service for specimens
from outside the HCMC campus are provided at no cost.
 Hours
and Contact Information
The hours of operation are from 7:00a.m. to 5:00p.m.(CST)
Monday through Friday. If a specimen needs special attention after these
hours, the resident pathologist on call should be contacted. Call the
main laboratory at 612-873-3001 to receive this contact information.
