(612) 873-2011

BEOP provides on-site crisis intervention services to individuals with serious and persistent mental illness residing in Hennepin County. Experienced psychiatric nurses are on call from 8 a.m. — 2 a.m. to provide on-site crisis counseling, consultation, assessment, emergency medication, and referral for hospitalization or further evaluation at the Crisis Intervention Center if indicated. BEOP is a community service of the Crisis Intervention Center, funded through state grants. Clients are referred by staff at residential treatment facilities, after-care programs, regional community support sites, Hennepin County's homeless program, Hennepin County and private shelters and drop-in centers, and by Hennepin County case managers.
