The HCMC Burn Center is a 15-bed intensive care unit that provides comprehensive burn care for both adults and children as well as care for hypothermic and frostbitten patients. It offers surgery, hydrotherapy, and a Burn and Wound Clinic. A team approach to care involves physicians, nurses, physical and occupational therapists, psychologists, pediatricians, dietitians, chaplains, pharmacists, social workers, and nursing assistants. The Burn Center is verified by the American Burn Association and the American College of Surgeons.
