Consumer Health Collection The HCMC Health Sciences Library is a facility where patients and their families, as well as members of the general public, are invited to research medical topics in public databases and in the Consumer Health Collection. These resources are geared to the layperson and explain medical topics and terms in easy- to-understand language.

The Health Sciences Library is located in HCMC's Red Building on the Level 2 Skyway. Take the Red Building lobby public elevators up to the 2nd level, turn left as you exit the elevator, and right at the corner. The Library is located on the right side of the hallway.

There is a computer located near the entrance to the Library where patients and their families can access the Web or use e-mail to keep in contact with friends and family members.

A friendly and compassionate staff is available to help Library visitors get started on their information searches and to recommend reliable sources. In addition, the daily newspaper and some popular magazines are available for use in the Library.

The HCMC Health Sciences Library is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
