The Department of Radiation Oncology employs state-of-the-art technology to offer radiation therapy services including:

• Conformal/three-dimensional external beam radiation therapy used for cancers of the brain, head and neck, lung, breast, prostate, etc.
  
  
• Brachytherapy: Intracavitary or interstitial insertion of radioactive materials for carcinoma of the cervix, endometrium, etc.

Emergency radiation therapy services are available for inpatients and outpatients 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Additional services include nutritional counseling when needed, cancer support groups, and an extensive library on cancer and cancer care.
