Eileen Kerr, PA-C

Family Medicine

Eileen was raised in a three generational immigrant family in the inner city on the south side of Chicago. She graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in Public Health and Studio Arts.

She was a midwife for seventeen years delivering babies at home, mostly in Minnesota and Wisconsin, but also in Mexico and Ecuador. Her own four children were born at home.

In 1996 she graduated from Augsburg College to became a Physician Assistant. Her first position as a Physician Assistant was working within an international health clinic at a local hospital. She enjoyed working with international staff and patients but wanted to work in a family medicine clinic. In 2001 she moved to La Clinica en Lake, a small community clinic in South Minneapolis. La Clinica was closed and then reopened as Hennepin East Lake Clinic.

Eileen enjoys baking, gardening, building, sculpting, and painting. She is also very active and enjoys walking, running or biking wherever she needs to go. She has run seven marathons, all of them after turning 50. She always looks forward to spending time with family and friends.
