The Miland E. Knapp Rehabilitation Program (Knapp) is an acute inpatient specialty program of HCMC serving adolescent and adult patients. Knapp is part of the full service health care offered at the hospital. The Hennepin Stroke Center care continuum includes the Knapp Rehab Program. As part of the Level I Trauma Services at HCMC, Knapp is a primary provider of rehabilitation for the traumatically injured.

The Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) accredits Knapp Rehabilitation Brain Injury Inpatient Program and Comprehensive Integrated Inpatient Program for adults and adolescents. It also accredits the Knapp Stroke Specialty Program. This accreditation means that the Miland E. Knapp Rehabilitation programs meet or exceed the high standards of care required by CARF.
