Outreach and education
Our Burn Center staff are dedicated to educating the community and other health care providers about burn prevention and treatment. They visit local schools and organizations and appear on TV, radio, and print articles.
In addition, Hennepin County Medical Center has a website devoted to Outdoor Safety. One of TV’s favorite outdoorsman, Ron Schara and his dog Raven help host the site that provides tips for "Staying Safe Out There." Look for common sense advice on campfire safety, keeping your cool while grilling, staying up in a deer stand, or cozy in a fish house.
