The Center for Wound Healing is an advanced care center for the treatment of difficult-to-heal wounds of the lower extremities. Our mission is to provide the highest quality clinical services to meet the individual needs of each patient.
It's time to heal
Patients who have chronic, non-healing wounds caused by diabetes, hypertension and other conditions often experience a marked reduction in their quality of life.
If you or someone you know has been dealing with the pain and discomfort, declining mobility and fears about limb loss associated with a non-healing wound, let us help you. We understand that a wound that won’t heal can be frustrating, expensive and very time consuming; our goal is to provide state-of-the-art care to shorten the healing time and get you back to the life you deserve.
Our center features four private treatment rooms in a spacious, comfortable, easy-to-access setting. The Center for Wound Healing is located on the ground floor of the Purple Building ( P1.600) at 716 South 7th Street in downtown Minneapolis. Public parking is located in the HCMC parking ramp and directly across Park Avenue. Valet parking is also available at the 7th Street entrance.
The Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Department staff provide medical and surgical care of all conditions of the foot and ankle. The ability to walk without pain is fundamental to all of our patients. Common types of reconstructive surgery include correction of foot deformities such as painful hallux valgus (bunions), hallux limitus (arthritis), toe deformities, and nerve procedures. The Podiatric surgeons can also correct painful complex deformities of the foot and ankle and repair trauma including fractures and arthritis following neglected fractures. All of the staff podiatric providers have a keen interest in providing state of the art care in diabetic wound care and diabetic limb salvage. The providers work closely with many medical specialists at HCMC to ensure that our patients suffering from diabetes or vascular disease maintain their ability to walk and to keep their independence.
