In 2008, the Pediatric Brain Injury Program served 173 inpatients. Of these, 72 continued to be followed at HCMC as outpatients for their brain injury. These outpatient services included Neurosurgery, Neuropsychology, Neurology, Physical Medicine & Rehab, the Mild/Moderate TBI Clinic (for adolescents 13 and over), the Pediatric Brain Injury Clinic (for children 12 and under), Rehabilitation Therapies, Pediatrics, Social Services, and other specialty clinics. In addition, outpatient assessments were completed on numerous children and adolescents who needed further evaluation due to a past sustained brain injury.
