General and regional anesthesia is provided by HCMC's anesthesiologists and nurse anesthetists 24 hours a day. In-hospital anesthesiologists and nurse anesthetists are available for trauma emergencies, obstetrical services and within other select areas of the hospital. Cardiopulmonary and respiratory consultations and support services are available. Active teaching and research programs complement a strong high-tech clinical anesthesia and pain service
