Additional Children’s Health Resources

Children and youth through age 17 receive general and specialized care through
the Pediatric Department. Inpatient services include the newborn nursery, newborn intensive care, pediatric intensive care, and general pediatric care. Care tailored to
the emotional and physical needs of pediatric patients includes a Child-Life Educational/Recreational Program and a supervised playroom. Rooming-in arrangements can be made for parents. Special services are available for children with head injuries through the Pediatric Brain Injury Program. The department's staff also cares for
children at Glen Lake County Home School and Minneapolis Health Department Clinics.
