HFA Continence Center

Approximately 13 million men and women in America suffer from incontinence. Incontinence is the leakage of urine for any number of reasons which when frequent or severe becomes a social or hygienic dilemma. Conquering this disease begins with a recognition of the problem and a consultation with knowledgeable health professionals.

What is the HFA Continence Center?
The Hennepin Faculty Associates Continence Center is part of a nonprofit primary care and multi specialty physician group located in downtown Minneapolis. Our professional staff consists of:

  • Urologists
  • Gynecologists
  • Registered Nurses

We have found that our team approach to continence care greatly improves patient outcomes. Depending on your diagnosis, treatment may include pelvic floor exercises, supportive devices, biofeedback therapy, medication, or surgery. The best treatment may be a combination of these options.

How do I make an appointment?
Appointments may be made by calling our clinic at (612) 347-6450 and asking for the Continence Center. Our business hours are Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. excluding weekends and holidays.

What can I expect at my visit?
Prior to your first visit, you will receive an introductory letter and patient questionnaire to fill out and bring to the clinic. Our physicians will review your medical records and questionnaire, perform a thorough physical examination and discuss any further tests needed and treatment options.

What about insurance coverage?
We accept many insurance plans. Check with us when you call for your appointment. You may need a referral from your primary care physician.

Where is the HFA Continence Center?
We are conveniently located in downtown Minneapolis just three blocks south of the Metrodome and across from Hennepin County Medical Center at 825 South Eighth St., Suite 250. To park free, please use the ramp attached to the building and bring in your ticket for validation.
