What can a neurologist do for the Huntington's Disease patient?
The neurologist is involved in the initial diagnosis of patients who are suspected to have symptoms of Huntington's Disease. They are also involved in the ongoing neurological management of affected patients, counseling of families and predictive testing for at-risk individuals.

Dr. Nance has been the Medical Director of the HDSA-COE at HCMC since 1991. She is Board Certified in Neurology and Genetics. She leads the HD clinic’s research efforts and has written two books published by the Huntington Disease Society of America (HDSA) about Huntington Disease.
