Distinguished Resident Alumnus of the Year
The Distinguished Resident Alumnus of the Year Lectureship was established in 2006 to honor and recognize of the contributions of alumni for outstanding service of patient care, teaching, research and community service. This yearly acknowledgement and award is an opportunity to highlight these contributions. In 2010, a Nominating Committee, consisting of faculty from various Medicine Divisions and several resident alumni, was established to review nominees from our 3 year graduates of the Internal Medicine Residency Training program. All alumni who have completed their residency training with the exception of those currently on staff at HCMC are eligible nominees. The chosen awardee is asked to visit HCMC (spring of the academic year), interact with students, residents and faculty, and give a Grand Rounds presentation on a subject of his/her choice.
