Physicians in the Division of Endocrinology, Metabolism,
and Nutrition provide a full range of endocrinology and diabetes diagnostic
and therapeutic services. The division is staffed by endocrinologists,
nurse certified diabetes educators, a registered dietitian, a board-certified
pharmacotherapy specialist, and certified insulin pump trainers.
Endocrine services
- Diagnosis and treatment of thyroid nodules, thyroid
cancer, and hyperthyroidism
- Diagnosis and management of hypothalamic-pituitary
disorders
- Evaluation of impotence and hypogonadism
- Management of disorders of calcium and bone metabolisms,
including hypercalcemia, osteopenia, and Pagetís disease
Diabetes services
- Screening, diagnosis, and treatment
- Intensive diabetes management, including insulin
pump therapy
- Diabetes management during pregnancy
- Retinopathy screening
- Nephropathy screening
- Foot care services
