(612) 873-4301 Orthopaedic staff cares for inpatients and out-patients, including those with multiple trauma and long-term bone disease. Among the services are fixation of bone fractures, total joint replacement, complicated back management, treatment of bone infections, and problems of the shoulder, hip, knee, hand, or foot. Research on bone infections and prostheses is conducted in the department. The newly remodeled 39-bed inpatient unit consists of all private rooms; five are furnished as suites. The unit also consists of an education center for patients and families and a conference room with a full complement of audiovisual equipment. The Orthopaedic Clinic, located on the first floor of the Blue Building (B1.350), was recently completely renovated and expanded to provide improved service to our patients.
