Hennepin Women's Mental Health Program

Hennepin County Medical Center
Hennepin Faculty Associates
914 South 8th Street, Suite D-110, Minneapolis, MN 55404

Comprehensive psychiatric care for women with depression, anxiety, and other emotional concerns before, during or after pregnancy or during other reproductive transitions (e.g. premenstrually or around menopause)

Common questions raised by women in our clinic include:

  • Is it safe to take medication during pregnancy and while nursing?
  • Can I see a therapist who specializes in depression and anxiety during and after pregnancy?
  • How do I cope with infertility and/or pregnancy loss?
  • Is there anything I can do for my PMS irritability and mood swings?
  • Are my sleep problems and moodiness a "normal" part of menopause?

WHO ARE WE?
Our group includes psychiatrists and psychologists with special expertise in women's mental health and medication and therapy treatment options. Our program is part of the outpatient psychiatry clinic at Hennepin Faculty Associates and Hennepin County Medical Center (HCMC), a nationally recognized academic medical center and public hospital serving Minnesota and the region.
