Anesthesiology

The Department of Anesthesiology provides general, regional, and monitored anesthesia in all operating room areas, the obstetrical suite, and selected other areas of the hospital, using state-of-the-art equipment to help ensure patient safety. Cardiopulmonary and respiratory consultation and support services are available. Department physicians provide consultation services in all aspects of anesthesiology, consultations for chronic-pain problems, and administration of specialized nerve blocks for pain control.
