Class hours are 8 am to 5 pm.

Three Day Course Schedule

Location
Class will be held in the EMS Education classrooms on level one of the HCMC Parking Facility at 600 Park Avenue in Minneapolis (view directions). Parking is available in the ramp and at several surface lots located nearby (view campus map). Coffee, soda, and vending machines are available in the building. There are restaurants within walking distance and a refrigerator and microwave oven available for use.

Pre-course Work & Handouts
All the materials needed for testing will be covered during class. You may find that a current EMT textbook serves as a good supplement. We recommend AAOS Emergency Care and Transportation of the Sick and Injured, Ninth Edition. This text is available to purchase for $74.00. There are no specific reading assignments.

Course Completion
During the course you will be trained in an American Heart Association Healthcare Provider CPR Renewal Course. Records of your completion will be kept on file. If you need a CPR card, one will be issued for a fee. You will also receive an updated EMT registration card from the EMS Regulatory Board. If you would like to check the date of expiration of your certification search the EMSRB site. Information about the EMT certification issued by the Minnesota EMS Regulatory Board can viewed by reading the EMT National Registry Information.

Cancellation
A cancellation fee of $88.00 will be charged for cancellations that occur within three weeks of the course start date. No refund is issued for no shows.
