Emergency Medicine Residency Program

APPLICATION PROCESS

All applications are accepted through the Electronic Resident Application System (ERAS). Applications are submitted through your medical school dean’s office. Please contact your medical school student affairs or dean’s office for instructions. We do not accept applications through the mail. We participate in the National Resident Match Program (NRMP).

We do not have minimum score requirements. Each applicant is scored based on several criteria: board scores, research, transcript, honors & accomplishments, deans letter, 2-letters of recommendation, personal statement, commitment to emergency medicine. The applicants meeting the pre-determined cut score are invited for interviews. You will be notified via email regarding an interview. Interviews are held Tuesdays and Wednesdays beginning in late-November through January. Medical Students from out of state rotating through our emergency department may request an interview during their rotation.

The deadline for submission of completed applications is November 15.
A complete application includes:

  • Medical School Transcripts

  • Dean’s Letter

  • Two letters of recommendation (Preferably from EP's)
