HCMC ED
As a third year resident, you act as a supervisor to all other residents,
in the role of senior resident. Pediatric emergency medicine is integrated
into the schedule throughout the year. You will be responsible for running
all critical stabilization room cases, including trauma resuscitations,
and managing all airways.
Elective
Electives are offered in radiology, research, critical care, anesthesiology,
and toxicology among others. You may also create your own elective outside
HCMC with program director approval.
Cardiology
You will be the cardiology consultant for the entire hospital. You will
also act as the senior resident on a cardiology team while on call. An
intensive, excellent course in EKGs is given during this rotation.
