I am a graduate of Government medical college, Thiruvananthapuram. I grew up in Thiruvananthapuram, the capital city of the beautiful state of Kerala. Family medicine to me is phenomenal yet human, challenging and exciting. I believe that very few specialties provide such challenging and diverse situations each day and this very aspect was, and still is what attracts me to Family Medicine. I absolutely loved the atmosphere in HCMC and hence the choice was easy.
My hobbies include singing and playing Tabla (Indian percussion instrument) and I feel it has had a soothing effect that helps me unwind after a stressful day. I have had training in Indian classical music. Cinematography is my new passion and I turned to cooking more out of necessity but slowly I am starting to enjoy it .In sports, I pursue cricket and soccer and play both (much to the delight of the opposing teams!). |

I was born in Stratford, Ontario Canada (Shakespeare country) and lived most of my life in Toronto. I went to medical school in India where I learned the skills and knowledge to prepare me for what ever life can throw at me. During the period between India and Minneapolis I has the opportunity to be a National Medical Trainer of a company where I learned a lot about the business world.
My dog and I have moved from all corners of the world together (all over India, Europe, USA, and Canada) and now are excited to move to Minneapolis. I can not explain the excitement my family and I had when we heard that Minneapolis was going to be my new home. Besides all the great outdoor activities and the friendly people, I know that HCMC is dedicated to teaching and is where I will receive the exposure and experiences to last a life time.
I like playing and watching basketball, football (Go Vikings!), and I'm crazy about MMA. |

I came from Guntur, India, where I completed my MBBS from the famous Guntur Medical college. After graduation in 2005, I wanted to pursue my career in the USA for its diverse population and integrated training programs. To achieve this goal, I worked in hospitals in New York and gained valuable experience in both clinical and research aspects of medicine. I can describe myself as a warm and funny person whom you want to hang around. I am married and have two adorable naughty boys who always keep me busy.
My first visit to Hennepin for my interview definitely was not a sweet note weather-wise, but the warmth and hospitality of the people made me think that I would be taken care of. I do remember Dr. Brotherson our PD saying to me that all I need to survive in Minneapolis is a good car and a nice warm coat and I am going to follow her advice. My hobbies are cooking, listening to music, watching the Oprah talk show, and discovery and forensic programs on TV. I am so excited to start my program and am looking forward to adding one more adventurous and fruitful chapter in my life.

I am from Vancouver, city of the Olympic champions. I am really excited and looking forward to starting my residency at HCMC. I'm looking forward to spending the next three years in Minneapolis whose nature and beauty is incomparable to any other city.
We have received a very warm welcome from the faculty and staff during our interview and orientation here. This is an amazing place to be and I feel blessed to be matched at this program. The faculty is highly dedicated in training residents and everyone is friendly and supportive. I could not ask for a better place to be.
My hobbies include running, kayaking, roller-blading, climbing, snorkelling, skiing and eating exotic food. I can't wait for all the wonderful learning ahead of us and our journey to be a family doctor. |

I hail from Middleton, a small town centered in the Annapolis Valley in Nova Scotia, Canada. Like a true Canadian, I love to play and watch hockey, and I feel that I will be able to adapt quite easily to Minneapolis’s notorious weather. I try to live an active life spending as much time as possible in the great outdoors, as well as golfing, scuba diving, or traveling to different parts of the globe.
I am excited to be in Minneapolis and am really looking forward to being at HCMC after being very impressed with the hospital and program, and the exciting opportunities they provide. |

I was born and raised in Lagos, Nigeria, one of the most populous cities in Africa and among the fastest growing in the world. Then, I moved to Minnesota! I have lived in Minneapolis for three years now and it’s frankly amazing how at home I feel here.
In the time I’ve spent here, I’ve had the chance as an outsider, to appreciate the diversity of the patient population of this program as well as the quality of service HCMC provides to its patients and I feel that this is the place I belong.
I am a huge football (soccer) fan and sports fan in general. I enjoy experiencing new things but my less adventurous favorite things to do are hanging out with family and friends and reading. |

I was born in Nigeria and i come from the Delta State in Nigeria. I am the third girl in my family of four girls. After completing medical school at the University of Benin in Nigeria (Great UNIBEN), I came to the United States in 2007 to start my MPH program at the University of Texas Health Science Center, in Houston. I chose the Family Medicine program at Hennepin because of my love for primary care, the diverse patient population which the hospital serves, and the beautiful city of Minneapolis.
I am a true “LEO” at heart which is my zodiac sign (that tells you all about me). I am adventurous, love reading novels, shopping and most of all, travelling. My husband and I are excited and looking forward to living in the “City of 10,000 lakes.” |

My friends and family call me Praveen or “TR” in short. I am from a small rural town, Tirupati in the State of Andhra Pradesh , India. I graduated in 2006 form Kurnool Medical College, one of the renowned medical schools of my country. It is my ambition to do residency in the United States, which has the most advanced technology in the world. I am happy that I got the residency in my much beloved program in the favorite place that is HCMC in Minneapolis.
I am fortunate to have my parents, my uncle and Dr. Messer, the people who always stood by my side during this journey of mine so far. The fundamentals of being human, such as to be empathetic towards others and that there is no other short-cut for success but hard work, were taught to me by my parents.
My motto is “Let’s make things better…!” I enjoy playing the flute, white water rafting, skiing and camping. Last, but not least, I am good with computers, too.
