Admission/Application Criteria and Information

Because of the limited number of positions for the academic year, we will interview graduates from:

1. University of Minnesota Medical School
2. Mayo Medical School


Applicant interviews will be held in December and January and will consist of a short benefit orientation and an interview with a member of the Transitional Coordinating Committee. The interview process will last approximately one hour and a tour of the medical center with a current Transitional resident is available upon request.

Applications are accepted through the Electronic Residency Application Services (ERAS) and must be complete before an interview is scheduled. No paper applications are accepted. The deadline for applying to the Transitional Program is December 1.

Hennepin County Medical Center does not sponsor H1-B visa applicants.
