Thank you for your interest in our Emergency Medicine Student Elective at Hennepin County Medical Center (HCMC). This core emergency medicine rotation is open to all third- and fourth-year medical students who have completed a rotation in both Internal Medicine and Surgery. Interested students can contact Margaret Miller at 612-873-4906 to receive more information including available rotation dates.
After entering in your information, please save the application as a PDF file. Information will be lost if you do not save your document. Applications may be submitted by email, post or fax. Students with an incomplete application form will not be admitted for a rotation. Your school will need to provide proof of enrollment and malpractice insurance coverage. Students from foreign medical schools cannot be accepted without a faculty mentor in our department. Osteopathic Students should include their class rank with their application.
After you have sent in your application, we will send you an e-mail affirming that we have received the information we need. We will take some time to review your application and respond in the upcoming weeks.
If you are accepted into a rotation and find that you cannot attend, please email Margaret at the email below at least 60 days prior to the start of your rotation. Due to processing time, applications must be submitted more than 45 days prior to a desired rotation start date.
