Emstat > Differential Diagnosis

Documenting a differential diagnosis is important to showing medical complexity and decision making. This information will initialize for the review of your supervising physicians. You may choose items from any or all of the lists on the screen as well as from the "ALL" list. In addition to entering a free text plan or explanation of medical decision making. For the purposes of an emergency department visit the differential should include all entities considered including those excluded by history testing or imaging. For example a young woman with lower abdominal pain vaginal bleeding and a negative urine pregnancy test you would still most likely include "ectopic pregnancy" on your differential. Just Click OK to return to the Physician Charting screen.
