The list of all diagnosis is extensive but not fully comprehensive. All diagnosis on the pick list are tied to ICD 9 codes and are important tools for future research. If you are having trouble setting the diagnosis ask a supervising physician. I the rare case where an appropriate diagnosis cannot be found in Emstat a primary diagnosis of "see free text diagnosis" may be set. Once you have completed a discharge note and a diagnosis you are ready to set a disposition.
