Emstat > Physician Discharge Note

The physician discharge note is the pivotal step in the discharge process. It allows the PMP to state in free text their exact clinical impression, specify follow up, and enter typical as well as specific free text indications for the patient to return to the department. It also allows you to designate the patient as "High Risk" which will trigger a call to the patient by the ED charge nurse the day after their visit. Chart check will trigger a process whereby the patients lab results are reviewed the next day. All culture results are automatically chart checked if or when they become positive. PMPs are also expected to designate condition at discharge and who they staffed the patient with. OK will link you back to your previous screen and Dispo Palette will link you to that screen regardless of how you navigated to the Physician Discharge Note.
