Student Lectures take place each Tuesday and Wednesday at 7:30 am until 9 am

        There are 4 set topics for the Tuesday lecture series and these are given by the Pit bosses:

  •         Splinting workshop
  •         Trauma care
  •         Approach to the poisoned patient
  •         Evaluation of abdominal pain

 

        The Wednesday lectures are given by members of the HCMC Emergency Medicine faculty on a variety of topics of interest. Common topics include:

  •         Chest pain
  •         International Emergency Medicine
  •         Pain management
  •         Cervical spine trauma
  •         Diving emergencies and hyperbaric medicine
  •         Domestic Violence

Attendance at these lectures is mandatory.  Students are also expected to attend Thursday morning conference from 7:30am until noon. (Breakfast and Lunch are provided.)
