Our rotation takes up to 16 third and fourth year medical students each month. Eight positions are reserved for students from the University of Minnesota Medical School and eight for up to 3 advanced rotation students from the U of M along with visiting students. The rotation consists of approximately 16 clinical shifts, weekly Tuesday morning student lectures and or workshops, A full day Procedure Lab, and 4 hours of conferences every Thursday. University of Minnesota students will also receive a half day simulation experience.

An outline of the written didactic syllabus as well as quizzes and written workshop material may be found on the blackboard web site where you will be required to register.  The didactic material is comprised of selected chapters from EMERGENCY MEDICINE: An Approach to Clinical Problem-Solving by Hamilton as well as information in the on-line workshops.  The blackboard site has a list of goals and objectives for the selected chapters and will also be used to take the written evaluation at the end of the rotation.
