  • Floor: no monitors, vitals Q4 hours, asthma nebulization Q2 hours, only give PO Valium not IV, can not give IV Dilantin (needs monitor)

  • A6/B6: cardiac monitors, heparin drips Not nitro drips, renal patients who do not need a monitor often go to B6 for renal nursing
     
  • CCU: anyone on a nitro drip, any cardiac drips other than heparin

     
  • MICU: Nebulization treatments Q1 hour, IV Valium

  • SICU: cardiac monitors, very ill ENT patients, Head trauma in need of close monitoring
