Public Teaching Hospitals

The U.S. health care system relies on public teaching hospitals like Hennepin County Medical Center for outstanding patient care and the education of tomorrow's physicians and health care workers.

 

The HCMC Service League

The Service League Volunteer Services Program at Hennepin County Medical Center places volunteers in nearly 30 positions throughout the medical center and at its community clinics, providing service to patients, visitors, and staff.

Memorials and donations can also be made through the Service League. These funds are used to enhance or supplement hospital services and programs in areas including patient services, social service assistance, and hospital initiatives. Click here to find out how your contributions can help.

Support Medical Research

Medical research leads to breakthroughs in medical treatment and disease prevention. The Minneapolis Medical Research Foundation (MMRF) is the research arm of Hennepin County Medical Center. The MMRF is
the third-largest nonprofit medical research organization in Minnesota, and it ranks in the top 10 percent of all institutions receiving research funding from the National Institutes of Health.
