Asthma and allergies can really put the brakes on a fun day outside. But by planning ahead and knowing the danger signs, you can still have a great time and stay safe in the outdoors.
These could all be symptoms of asthma, and if you notice them, see your doctor.
It's safe to be active and playing outside, you just need to control your asthma.
First, find out what you're allergic to. Do you notice it in the spring, or fall? Do you notice them when you're inside around dust and dander? Once you know when you have allergies, you can prepare for them with an OTC antihistamine or allergy pill. You can also use salt water to rinse your nose and sinuses.
