Hennepin County Medical Center (HCMC) has been serving the needs of children for over a century. The care provided has extended from treating the tiniest of neonates in our Newborn Nursery and Newborn Intensive Care Unit to teenagers and young adults up to age 21 in our clinics, Inpatient Unit, and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.

This includes the care we have provided to critically ill and injured children as a Level I Trauma Center, a designation we have held since 1989 and reinforced in 2010 with our verification as a Level I Pediatric Trauma Center. This separate pediatric verification recognizes our distinctive expertise in caring for children in emergency situations.

Providers

Our board certified pediatric doctors and nurses are committed to making sure the “little lives” they care for every day grow up healthy and strong. We believe that “big futures” are achieved by partnering with parents and families and providing care that is centered around them and their needs. The families we serve come from many cultural and ethnic groups. Interpreters are always available to meet the needs of our non-English speaking families. Several permanent staff members are also bilingual.

We offer routine services including well child exams and vaccinations as well as care for when your child is sick. We also have experience and expertise in treating a wide variety of serious and life-threatening health conditions. We see patients at the HCMC Pediatric Clinic located downtown as well as several of our neighborhood clinics. To request an appointment with a provider listed here, please contact the clinic listed under their name.
