Join emergency physicians for the first annual "Preseason Physical"
On Saturday, Dec. 15 skiers will race at Theodore Wirth Park to raise money for resuscitation research and urban health disparities at Hennepin County Medical Center. This first annual "Preseason Physical" ski event is sponsored by Hennepin County Medical Center's Emergency Medicine Department, the Minneapolis Medical Research Foundation and Endurance Athlete.
The official Sprint or 10Km Freestyle Race begins at 8 a.m., followed by a 2Km Tour and 1Km Kids Race at 9 a.m. Registration opens at 7 a.m. at the Theodore Wirth Chalet. The race entry fee is $25 per person, with all proceeds supporting research at Hennepin County Medical Center's Department of Emergency Medicine. Prizes will be provided by Rossignol, Toko, Nike, Integrative Health and Training, Gear West Ski and Run and others. This is a family-friendly event and all levels of experience are welcomed and encouraged to participate.
