Hospital Stories: 150 Years of Minneapolis Health Care
Exhibit opens Tuesday, May 6

The Hennepin County Medical Center History Museum and Metropolitan Medical Center Historical Library are gearing up for an exhibit to celebrate both Nurses Week and Minnesota's 150th birthday. The exhibit, "Hospital Stories: 150 Years of Minneapolis Health Care," will run from May 6 until the end of June at four locations around the hospital. The exhibit is a look at the past 150 years of health care in Minneapolis, focusing on Hennepin County Medical Center and Metropolitan Medical Center but also encompassing changes in hospital care across the city. The exhibit was made possible by a grant from the Minnesota Sesquicentennial Commission.

An opening reception will be held on Tuesday, May 6, from 1-4 pm in the Blue Lobby across from the Gift Shop at Hennepin County Medical Center. For more information about the exhibit, contact Suzanne Fischer, Collections Manager for the HCMC History Museum, at 612-873-9808.
