Dr. Kevin Engel was recently appointed Department Chief of Ophthalmology at Hennepin County Medical Center. Dr. Engel attended medical school and graduate school at the University of Minnesota, where he also completed his residency in ophthalmology. His special interests include the study of how the nervous system coordinates hand and eye movement.
The Ophthalmology Clinic at HCMC provides routine eye exams in addition to diagnosis and treatment of a broad range of eye problems. Services arranged through the clinic include cataract extraction (with lens implant), laser refractive surgery, and contact lens fitting.
