Rheanna Kado-Hogan, PhD, LP


Dr. Kado-Hogan received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from the College of Saint Benedict and St. John’s University. She obtained her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of South Dakota. She completed a generalist internship at the Colmery O’Neil VA Medical Center, with training emphasis in treatment of acute and chronic anxiety and posttraumatic stress as well as geropsychology. Dr. Kado-Hogan also completed a post-doctoral fellowship at the Kansas City VA Medical Center, specializing in treatment of posttraumatic stress and the integrated treatment of co-morbid disorders. Dr. Kado-Hogan’s doctoral program, internship, and postdoctoral fellowship were accredited by the American Psychological Association.

Dr. Rheanna Kado-Hogan provides individual psychotherapy for outpatients in the Adult Psychiatry Therapy Clinic. She is a generalist with experience treating a wide range of diagnoses and conditions. She also has advanced fellowship training in treating psychological trauma as well as addictions. Her clinical interests include treatment of mood and anxiety disorders, psychological trauma, co-occurring disorders, and adjustment to life transitions. Her theoretical orientation is integrative, incorporating cognitive-behavioral, motivational interviewing, and psychodynamic therapies, with a growing use of acceptance and commitment based interventions. In addition to her work in the Adult Psychiatry Therapy Clinic, she provides psychology consultation services for adult inpatients throughout the hospital. She also provides clinical supervision for psychology interns and fellows.
