Benjamin Orozco, MD
After graduating from Harvard Medical School, Dr. Orozco came to Minneapolis to complete his residency training at Hennepin County Medical Center in Emergency Medicine. He then completed a fellowship in Medical Toxicology at Healthpartners Institute for Medical Education and Research and the Hennepin Regional Poison Center. He is a faculty physician in the Emergency Department and also serves as an Assosciate Medical Director of the Hennepin Regional Poison Center.
Dr. Orozco chose to pursue a career in Emergency Medicine for the diversity of patients and the dynamic clinical practice of the Emergency Department. As a Medical Toxicologist, he has expertise in the care of the poisoned patient and a particular interest in poisonings by toxic alcohols.
In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family as well as camping, hiking, running and biking. While spending time outdoors he enjoys identifying plants and mushrooms of culinary and toxic importance.
