Sarah Peden, PhD, LP
Dr. Sarah Peden has been a Senior Clinical Psychologist at HCMC since 2011. She provides individual and family psychotherapy and evaluation services in the Child/Adolescent Psychiatry clinic and consultation to the pediatric medical unit. Dr. Peden draws from many therapeutic models including cognitive-behavioral therapy, interpersonal therapy, parent skills training, and parent-child interaction therapy. Her areas of expertise include working with children across the spectrum of psychological concerns from adjustment disorders to severe, persistent mental illness, including autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, trauma, depression, anxiety, and behavioral problems. She has particular clinical interest in adolescent mental health and research background in ADHD.
Dr. Peden received her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from Auburn University in 2010. She completed both her predoctoral internship and postdoctoral fellowship at HCMC. Dr. Peden is an active participant in training current interns and fellows through supervision and didactics.
