Bryan A. Nelson, MD
Family and Community Medicine
Dr. Nelson completed his undergraduate education in biology at the University of Minnesota, Duluth. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree at the University of Minnesota, and then completed his residency in family medicine at Hennepin County Medical Center (HCMC). He has been in practice in the Twin Cities for over a decade and is happy to be returning to HCMC to practice at the Golden Valley clinic.
Dr. Nelson is board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and is a member of many professional societies, including the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Minnesota Academy of Family Physicians.
His interests in family medicine stem from a desire to treat patients of all ages and develop a long-term relationship with each and every patient. He has a special interest in preventive health and has extensive experience in performing a number of minor procedures, including non-spine joint injections.
Dr. Nelson is originally from Duluth, MN and lives in the west metro with his wife, an ophthalmologist, and their two young daughters. In his spare time he enjoys biking, hiking, and traveling as much as possible.
