Eugenia Steffens is the Living Donor Coordinator. She earned her BS in Nursing from Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois and her MS in Nursing from Saint Xavier University in Chicago, Illinois. She is a certified nephrology nurse and certified clinical transplant coordinator. She is a member of International Transplant Nurse Society, North American Transplant Coordinator Organization and Sigma Theta Tau. She is active in the kidney and transplant community serving on committees with the National Kidney Foundation and the Organ Procurement and Transplantation Network (OPTN) continuing to improve care for the living donor and transplant recipient.
Eugenia enjoys the privilege to work with the giving people who pursue giving the gift of life as a living kidney donor and helping them through that process. She has been a part of the Transplant team at HCMC for over 20 years and over the years has worked with patients in all phases of the donation and transplant process.
