James B. Anderson, PhD, LP
Family and Community Medicine
Dr. Anderson completed a two-year postdoctoral fellowship in primary care health psychology at the University of Massachusetts Medical School after completing his PhD in Clinical Psychology at Western Michigan University in 2010. He joined the HCMC Family Medicine Residency faculty in 2013 after a year on faculty with the University of Massachusetts Department of Internal Medicine.
He is a Clinical Psychologist within the Family Medicine Department at the Whittier Clinic. He works as a member of the primary care team, providing consultation to Whittier clinic physicians and nurse practitioners and their patients. Dr. Anderson enjoys working with providers and patients to help them maximize patients' health and maximize the benefits of primary care. While Dr. Anderson's primary responsibilities are educational and administrative, he does maintain a small panel of clinical patients for those who receive their primary care from a Whittier Clinic provider.
