Commitment to Patient-Centered Care
"From my original fascination with a simple chest radiograph projected on a screen at the lectern of my first year medical school amphitheater where I mused from the rafters whether it mattered how it was positioned, to the realization that we will someday zoom through the corridors of the airways in the lungs, stopping to posit the significance of the pictographs lining the walls, testament to years of smoking, city dwelling or noxious occupational insults which morphed to scarring, cancer, infection or some yet unrecognized entity, or paddling the rivers of blood coursing about the brain, liver or muscles to identify the source of blood clots, bleeding, tumor seeding, or even planting a cure. I have been smitten with the possibilities awaiting the curious and find the daily challenges in each radiograph, CT or MR to be exciting along with the satisfaction, or sober humbling, resulting from diagnosis. This is my enthusiasm for radiology, and I bring that fascination to each patient's imaging study. I am committed to delivering the very best care I can to each patient and to delivering that care in the most patient-centered manner possible."
