Kim is a Family Nurse Practitioner. She specializes in diabetes and is also a primary care provider. Most of Kim’s time is spent helping people diagnosed with pre-diabetes, diabetes, and gestational diabetes. She helps patients learn survival skills such as testing, injecting, eating well and exercising, how to adjust to their new lifestyle or adapt to a new phase of their chronic illness, and how to find their motivation to change. She has been a certified diabetes educator since 1998.
Kim earned her Masters of Science degree from Yale University School of Nursing in Connecticut where she grew up. When she graduated in 1994, she moved to MN and worked with urban Native Americans for the first seven years of her professional life.
