Kristen Wiik, PhD, LP
Dr. Kristen Wiik is a pediatric neuropsychologist and provides neuropsychological evaluations in the HCMC Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Clinic. She completed her doctoral training (Ph.D.) in child psychology and clinical psychology at the University of Minnesota. She completed her internship training and two-year postdoctoral fellowship in pediatric neuropsychology through the Department of Pediatrics of the University of Minnesota Medical School.
Dr. Wiik conducts neuropsychological evaluations and consultations for children and adolescents with medical, neurological, genetic, and/or neurodevelopmental concerns, acquired brain injuries, and coexisting emotional or behavioral difficulties. She works with patients and their families to gather information about patients’ development and neuropsychological functioning, in the context of their health and life experiences. She identifies areas of strength and need and provides recommendations for treatment and intervention. In addition to providing patient care, Dr. Wiik is a member of the HCMC Psychology Training Program faculty and supervises interns and fellows in outpatient psychological and neuropsychological assessment.
