Opening mid-2012!
The Hennepin County Medical Center Interdisciplinary Simulation and Education Center (ISEC) will provide a guided, safe environment for healthcare professionals to practice real-life medical situations and procedures. Using our state-of-the-art simulation equipment, participants will learn proper techniques, refine interpersonal skills, and build confidence in their abilities. As a multidisciplinary training center, ISEC will conduct educational programs for nurses, physicians, pre-hospital providers, and other allied health professionals from HCMC as well as community groups from across the region. By revolutionizing medical education for providers, we hope to ensure that all patients receive the best and safest care possible.

The Interdisciplinary Simulation and Education Center enables HCMC to continue a longstanding commitment to training the nation’s health care providers. The first teaching hospital in Minnesota, HCMC now trains more than 20,000 health care providers every year – at HCMC, online, and through outreach training programs across the state.
